Recently Internshala came across a couple of summer research internship programs in USA which accept international students as well. These internship programs are in area of Life\/Physical Sciences, Bio-Medicine, Biotechnology or Biology. The last date to apply to both the internship programs in 1st February 2012<\/strong> – hurry!<\/p>\n

1. Gerstner Sloan-Kettering Summer Undergraduate Research Program<\/strong>: – This ten-week research program at Gerstner Sloan-Kettering graduate school, New York is designed for approximately 20 outstanding undergraduate students who are interested in pursuing a career in biomedically related sciences. 1st-3rd year undergraduate students with GPA of 3.0 (on a scale of 4) and having completed college level introductory courses in Biology or Chemistry may apply. The program runs for 10 weeks starting 1st week of June and the selected students would receive $4,000 stipend + Housing. 2. Rockefeller Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship Program<\/strong>: – This ten-week research program (June 4th – August 10th) at The Rockefeller University, New York is designed for approximately 15 outstanding undergraduate students to conduct laboratory research. SURF students work with leading scientists in a broad range of areas including biochemistry; structural biology and chemistry; molecular, cell and developmental biology; immunology; virology and microbiology; neuroscience; physics; and mathematical biology. 2nd & 3rd year undergraduate students in the relevant streams may apply. The selected students would receive $3,000 stipend + Housing.
