IIT Gandhinagar, one of the 8 new IITs being set up, invites applications from Masters and Bachelors students at a recognized Institute for the Summer Research Program 2011 (May-July 2011) at the Institute. Students in Microbiology and all related fields are invited to apply for the position. The last date for application is 17-Feb-2011<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

About Internship: –<\/strong> <\/strong>It\u2019s an academic research internship and a tentative list of selected research problems students could work on are given below:-<\/p>\n

1) Inter-specie Communication between microbial species<\/p>\n

2) Classification and characterization of microbial diversity in Ahmedabad region in Gujarat<\/p>\n

3) Engineering bacterial systems for water remediation<\/p>\n

4) Mathematical Modeling of regulatory gene networks<\/p>\n

Who can apply: –<\/strong> <\/strong>Masters and Bachelors students in Microbiology and all related fields can apply. Applicants are expected to have basic theoretical and experimental knowledge & experience of genetics, biochemistry, and microbiology. However, motivated students from other fields are also welcome to apply for the Internship<\/p>\n
