What may be a simple swipe of a credit\/ATM card for you has a complex web of servers, cable networks, and data transfer protocols spread all over the world enabling that swipe. About IDRBT: – <\/strong>During the first phase of reforms in the Indian Financial Sector, a need was felt to develop an Institute of Higher Learning, which would also provide the operational service support in Information Technology to Banks and Financial Institutions. In the year 1994, the Reserve Bank of India formed a committee on “Technology Upgradation in the Payment Systems”. The committee recommended a variety of payment applications which can be implemented with appropriate technology upgradation and development of a reliable communication network.<\/p>\n

The committee also suggested setting up of an Information Technology Institute for the purpose of Research and Development as well as Consultancy in the application of technology to the Banking and Financial sector of the country.<\/p>\n

As recommended by the Committee, the Institute for Development & Research in Banking Technology<\/strong> was established by the Reserve Bank of India in March 1996 as an Autonomous Centre for Development and Research in Banking Technology.<\/p>\n

About Internship: – <\/strong>The Institute offers internship opportunities for students pursuing their graduation and post graduation in highly reputed Institutions to carry out various projects in the area of Banking Technology during their summer and winter breaks under the aegis of the “IDRBT Project Trainee Scheme”. The deliverables from the project are decided at the time of offering the Project Traineeship itself.<\/p>\n

Who can apply: – <\/strong>Students pursuing their graduation (after completion of a minimum of two years of studies) and post graduation in highly reputed Institutions such as IITs, IIMs, IIITs, Central Universities, ISB, BITS and similar Institutions.<\/p>\n

Duration: – <\/strong>Minimum 2 months<\/p>\n

Location: –<\/strong> Hyderabad, India<\/p>\n

Stipend: – <\/strong>Rs. 7,000\/month + Free boarding and lodging<\/p>\n
