\"IITDepartment of Electronics & Computer Engineering at IIT Roorkee is inviting applications from students of Government\/Government-funded institutes (other than IIT) for summer internship 2013. Please note that there are 2 categories of internships offered under this program; one as part of IIT Roorkee internship program (no stipend, student has to pay) and other funded by Microsoft Research Labs (with stipend). The last date to apply is March 28, 2013<\/strong> – hurry!<\/p>\n

About the internship: – <\/strong>There are two categories of internships.<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Internships offered under the internship program of IIT Roorkee. It is open to the students of B.Tech programs in Electronics and Communications and Computer Science and Engineering. Total no. of seats available in this program are 3 and there is no<\/strong> stipend<\/strong> awarded to students in this category.<\/li>\n
  2. Internships funded by Microsoft Research Labs., India. It is open to the students of B.Tech programs in Computer Science and Engineering. Maximum no. of seats available in this program are 3 and students are given a consolidated stipend of Rs. 10,000\/- after completion of the internship.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Who can apply: – <\/strong>2nd and 3rd year B.Tech students of Electronics & Communications and Computer Science & Engineering streams form Govt. or Govt. funded institutes (non IIT<\/strong>) and with CGPA > 7.5 are eligible to apply.<\/p>\n

    Duration: – <\/strong>6-8 weeks<\/p>\n

    Location: – <\/strong>IIT Roorkee<\/p>\n

    Stipend: – <\/strong>No stipend (except in case of Microsoft funded internship) + a student needs to deposit a bench fee of Rs. 5,000\/- month. It is not mentioned whether the bench fee is refundable deposit or not.<\/p>\n
