\"HowAbout the Author: Aakash Deep is pursuing B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from IIIT, Delhi and recounts how he learned the ropes of hacking with Internshala’s Ethical Hacking training.<\/em><\/p>\n

It was a long hectic day of college, full of assignments and projects, as the term-end exams were coming. At night, I came to my hostel room and checked my emails. Among a number of unread emails, there was one from Internshala VTC. I was familiar with Internshala but had no idea about VTC. Intrigued, I opened the mail. The Virtual Training Center seemed really interesting. There was a long list of training programs which one could do according to one\u2019s interests and needs. I was going through the list when, suddenly, my eyes sparkled as I noticed something. Yes, that is what I wanted to learn from the last two years \u2013 Ethical Hacking! I had always wanted to become a hacker. I checked the program details – it was a four-week program with a nominal fee. The icing on the cake was, I could choose when my course would start, and I could study at any time. I called my father in the night and told him everything about the program, and he agreed. I could hardly wait for the training to begin.<\/p>\n

The program consisted of three modules. They covered the basics in the beginning and as the program progressed, advanced topics were taught. I studied the topics regularly as they kept me engrossed throughout the program. Without completing a module, you couldn\u2019t move to the next one as there was a test at the end of each module. This was the best part as it gave students a chance to check their learning and understand where they were lagging behind. If these modules are studied seriously, one can easily score good marks in the final test at the end of the program. The demo sessions in the modules were fun; they were like a practical lab in which we could practice whatever we had learned in the previous lectures. Hacking is all about practice and VTC did a smart thing by creating a dummy website for students where we could apply all the tricks which we had learned during the program.<\/p>\n

I successfully completed all the modules on the last night of the program but due to some technical issues I couldn\u2019t submit it. I was unable to give my final test. I was heartbroken because I had followed the program whole-heartedly from the first day. I emailed my mentor to extend the deadline of my course but it was around 1:00 AM. Thanks to my mentor, the deadline for the program was extended next day itself.<\/p>\n

I sincerely thank Internshala for providing us with such stimulating training programs. I\u2019m also grateful to the support team for helping me sail through the program. I look forward to joining a couple of other training programs too.<\/p>\n
