Slowly, days turned into weeks and colleagues turned into friends. Learning sessions turned into sessions of action! There was one thing that I learnt and would take away from this internship and that is - a company's brand is not the only concern for an internship. I learnt a lot through out my tenure, from all the colleagues in different departments.I created campaigns and I talked to magazines. I was given tasks which were more than what would be given to an intern, more than what an intern can be trusted with. I earned my trust and position there. I was given chances to present in the weekly meetings and I understood how a company functions and how we must work in a team to build the company.I worked with the building blocks in the company and I helped in the company's promotion. The internship lasted for five months which were till date, the best five months I have ever spent. Along with the knowledge and exposure I got, I also learnt many things that prepared me to face the world out there. I experienced stress and I witnessed fear, but what inspired me was the way I was taught to tackle it. I learnt the importance of a team and how we must stand for each other in the times of need. This internship taught me what is needed to be a professional, a team leader and mainly, an empathetic person.

The last day of my internship, I took away with me, a bunch of life lessons and loads of memories. My internship was not just a professional work experience to me. I made new friends, made memories with them, I met new people and got to share ideas with them. As I look back now, a smile comes up on my face when I remember those moments when we were stressed and took a break for a coffee, had deep conversations over lunch, got excited for the photo shoots and the campaigns that we launched, planned for office day outs, planned for factory visits, and motivated each other at the time of need.

To sum it up, my internship experience was not like the routine internships . I experienced more than work. Along with the best experience I got in Public Relations where I launched campaigns, pitched E-mails, drafted strategies, I also experienced fun. I experienced moments when I was happy to be a part of a team, I experienced excitement, I experienced satisfaction and mainly I learnt that the important things in life are understanding these little things such as empathy, support and encouragement.
This internship experience of mine prepared me to chase my dreams and face what is out there with no fear or second thoughts.."}" data-sheets-userformat="{"2":513,"3":{"1":0},"12":0}">About the Author: Sruthi Dhulipala, an engineering student from VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering & Technology (VNR VJIET), recounts her experience as a Public Relations Intern at MDS Fabrics.

<span data-sheets-value="{"1":2,"2":"Every story begins with a \\"One fine day..\\" Mine would begin on the same page when on one fine day, as I was looking up for internships in Internshala, I came across a Public Relations internship in a company called \\"MDS Fabrics\\".
