I got selected for the internship with the help of college placement team.\\nI intentionally waited for a period of over 2 months for this company interview after the registration in Nov-2015. \\nSince the company is into sports infrastructure industry, this gave me an opportunity and also edge over my batch-mates to explore and study this niche sports infrastructure segment. \\n\\n2 Interview Experience\\n The interview questions mostly focused on basic concepts of management and also few additional questions based on current tasks and assignments performed by me.\\nSince prior to this internship, i had completed a virtual internship this helped me tackle and also answer basic questions during interview in a professional manner by relating to my past work.\\nAlso since i have held many positions in the students council during first year of my MBA, questions on leadership and also qualities of leaders and manager were successfully answered by me. \\n\\n3 Experience during Internship \\n As an intern, my job profile included marketing research and also digital marketing.\\nHence my internship focused on 4 basic objectives and also I made sure that to every objective performed by me, I delivered an output beneficial to the company in long run.\\nMy objectives included\\nA. Market Study of current sports infrastructure among current and target client\\nB. Competitive Analysis of competitors providing the same product \\nC. Impact of Digital Marketing on Sports Infrastructure Industry\\nD. Collaboration with rubberized and wooden flooring dealers in metro cities\\n\\nA. Market Study of current sports infrastructure among current and target client\\n The task included conducting a ground survey on the current sports infrastructure made available by our clients to its consumer base. Our target clients included CBSE\/ ICSE \/Residential and Boarding schools , Private colleges and educational institutions across India. \\nMy conducting a ground survey across target client, we understood the current status of sports infrastructure across the country and the future scope of sports development among the target clients\\nOutput- With the help of this task, we successfully closed a deal sports complex construction at DPS SCHOOL, TAPI- Surat\\n\\nB. Competitive Analysis of competitors providing the same product \\n The task included collecting competitors quotations of our competitors who were offering the same product and who shared common target clients.\\nUsing competitive analysis, I studied the strengths and weakness of the competitors, suggested ways on improving our product quotations and also worked my competitors weakness that can close deals for us.\\nOutput: Using competitive analysis, we successfully closed a deal with BD Somani Educational Trust in Cuff Parade- Mumbai. \\n\\n\\nC. Impact of Digital Marketing on Sports Infrastructure Industry\\n As a part of this objective, various social media campaigns were launched targeting the same clients mentioned in Point A. Facebook and email campaigns were launched aiming to spread brand awareness across our target clients. \\nBelow the Line campaigns were launched aiming at specific target clients based on the study conducted and outcomes in point A. \\nAlso, LinkedIn and Email campaigns were launched spreading brand awareness targeting Sports academies and sports coaches across India.\\n\\nOutput: As a part of Facebook campaign, we successfully signed a deal with Mr Chetan Anand - renowned sportsperson for construction of 4 badminton courts in Hyderabad.\\n\\nD. Collaboration with rubberized and wooden flooring dealers in metro cities\\n This assignment aimed at extending business relations by collaborating with various local rubberized and wooden flooring dealers in metro cities. With this collaboration, the company would get its projects which were spread across area of less than 5000 sq feet outsourced with the help of such dealers and also provide these dealers with company certified rubberized and wooden flooring materials.\\nOutput : The company has collaborated with close to 15 local dealers in rubberized flooring in Mumbai and Hyderabad. \\n\\nTips\\n1. As an intern it is not necessary to understand the entire business model of the company. Make sure, as an individual we understand the ways business is performed wrt product or service assigned to us. \\n\\n2 Rather than being innovative in ideas, it is necessary to find innovative ways of performing the task assigned to us. Time taken to complete the task does not matter but the output delivered as an intern and the qualitative measure of the output matters. \\n\\n3 As an intern it is very important to perform work in a team which has different people having different expertise, different age and experience. \\n\\n4 Be open to all the suggestions which comes our way and try and execute the best after careful evaluations\\n\\n5 Instead of focusing the work assigned to us, it is also very important to finds ways and innovative ways of contributing to the company business. Make sure the results produced have long lasting effects which results in progress of business.\\n\\n6 Rather than focusing on company brand, i would recommend to give top priority to the job profile which the company offers. Because, as an intern we are temporary asset of the company, but if the job assigned to us possess no challenges and implementations of our theory concepts taught in classroom it would be not be worth joining the company as intern. Ltd. through my college placement team. I intentionally waited for over 2 months for the company interview. Since the company is a sports infrastructure industry, this gave me an opportunity and also an edge over my batch-mates to explore and study the sports infrastructure segment. The interview questions focused on my basic understanding of management, followed by a few questions based on my past assignments. Considering my past experience of a virtual internship, I was able to tackle the interview in a professional manner. I was elated to be selected as an intern for the company. As an intern, my job profile included market research and digital marketing. My internship focused on four basic objectives, namely \u2013<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A. Market study of the current sports infrastructure &#8211; The task included conducting a ground survey. Our target clients included educational institutions across India. We understood the current status of sports infrastructure across the country and the future scope of sports development among the target clients. It is very important to perform the tasks in a team which has people from different backgrounds coming together. Also, be open to all the feedback which comes your way.
