Direct speech<\/strong>, also known as quoted speech, involves saying exactly what someone has said. It involves quotation marks. (Ex.- She said, “I’m eating Pizza.”<\/em>)<\/p>\n

Indirect speech<\/strong> (or reported speech), on the other hand, doesn’t involve quotation marks to enclose what the person said and it doesn’t have to be exactly the same. (Ex.- She said she was eating Pizza.<\/em>)<\/p>\n
