About Microsoft Research: –<\/strong> <\/strong>Who doesn\u2019t know Microsoft! This very blog entry was first created in an MS-Word document and then pasted here. There is a bit of Microsoft in everyone\u2019s life :). Microsoft Research India\u00a0conducts world-class research in computer science and related areas. They present regularly at international conferences and publish in research journals; and also work closely with Microsoft\u2019s product groups to transfer research ideas into Microsoft products. Microsoft Research\u00a0India currently has seven research groups engaged in fundamental and applied research, and one group that is charged with advanced development and prototyping of research ideas. About Internship: –<\/strong> <\/strong>Internships\u00a0in Microsoft Research India are either research internships or software-development internships. Research interns work with Microsoft Research’s full-time researchers on research topics that often lead to research publications. Development interns work with researchers and software engineers to develop a prototype application that implements a research idea or on an independent software project.<\/p>\n

Who can apply: –<\/strong> <\/strong>Interns at various levels in their academic life\u00a0are accepted \u2014 from undergraduate students to PhD candidates\u00a0\u2014 and from all over the world. Intern applicants with strong academic achievement in fields such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, or Social Sciences with a focus on technology shall be preferred.<\/p>\n

Location: –<\/strong> <\/strong><\/strong>Bangalore, India<\/strong><\/p>\n

Start date: –<\/strong> <\/strong>flexible as per academic schedule<\/p>\n

Stipend<\/strong>: \u2013 <\/strong>It is a paid Internship. Interns will be reimbursed for costs of travel to and from Bangalore.<\/p>\n
