Last date to apply is <strong>20th April<\/strong> &#8211; hurry up!<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>About Institute of Plasma Research: &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>Institute for Plasma Research is an autonomous physics research institute under the Department of Atomic Research, involved in research in various aspects of plasma science including basic plasma physics, research on magnetically confined hot plasmas and plasma technologies for industrial applications.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>About the internship: &#8211; <\/strong>During the\u00a0program, you will learn about Plasma (matter in an ionized state) and its\u00a0applications in nuclear fusion and industries. The course comprises of lectures\u00a0on plasma science, fusion and industrial technologies, and a short project\u00a0related to Plasma Science\/Technology. The participants will have to work on a\u00a0specific project in association with a faculty member of the institute. This is a huge opportunity for the students to interact with the scientists at IPR.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Who can apply: &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>Students who have completed their<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>1st Year M. Sc. OR<\/li>\n<li>4th Year Integrated\u00a0M.Sc. in Physics or Applied Physics OR<\/li>\n<li>3rd Year B.E.\/B.Tech\/B.Sc(Engineering)\u00a0in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Metallurgy and\u00a0Chemical Engineering.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Duration: &#8211; <\/strong>The program will be for <strong>6 weeks<\/strong>, starting\u00a0<strong>28th May 2012 to 6th July 2012<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Location: &#8211; <\/strong>The summer internship will be at the Institute itself, at Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Stipend: &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>If selected, you will be paid a stipend of <strong>Rs.10,500<\/strong>\/- for the entire period and a\u00a0to and fro train fare (sleeper class ) by the shortest route.
