SAFA introduces the urban illiterate women to sustainable livelihoods and supports them in education of their children through an area based community model that retains the cultural and social identity of the women. About SAFA<\/strong>: –\u00a0SAFA (www.safaindia.org<\/a>) is registered under Andhra Pradesh Societies Act since 2006 and is a centre for women\u2018s socio-economic development and education for the girl-child. SAFA believes that every individual has a right to live a life filled with dignity and self-respect and aims to move families from POVERTY to PROSPERITY by enabling women to break through the vicious cycle of illiteracy and poverty. When a girl or a woman is empowered with the capacity to earn or an education she is able to sow the seeds of change within her family and the community. SAFA works in the areas of sustainable livelihoods and children\u2019s education thereby ensuring that two generations are targeted for maximum social impact. SAFA works in the urban slum and with below poverty line families .Most of women are home \u2013based workers giving them the flexibility to earn between taking care of their families and without causing damage to their ethos \/culture. SAFA works on an innovative business model in which all livelihood interventions are brought in after a careful community participatory method. All our production groups of women are paid fair wages and Fair Trade practices are adhered to.<\/p>\n

About Internship: \u2013<\/strong>\u00a0An Intern will be working on one of the two roles :-<\/p>\n

1<\/strong>. Marketing<\/strong>: – Intern will market the products in a B2B \/ B2C sustainable model. The responsibilities involve meeting the clients, getting the orders and feedback for the company.<\/p>\n

2.<\/strong> Designing the Business Plan<\/strong>: – Intern will be designing the new business plan for the company.<\/p>\n

Who can apply: \u2013<\/strong>\u00a0Any self motivated MBA graduate\/ undergraduate with good communication skills and belief in social cause can apply.<\/p>\n
