Note:\u00a0<\/strong>The applications for Internshala Career Scholarship for Girls 2021 have been closed.\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n The Internshala Career Scholarship for Girls is an annual award of INR 25,000\/- meant to help advance one girl\u2019s career in her chosen field. Instituted in 2012, the inspiration for this scholarship lies in the sad coincidence that the Delhi rape victim\u2019s (Nirbhaya case) struggle for life ended on the same day that Internshala celebrates its anniversary (29th December). The scholarship is meant to recognize a girl who has fought against odds to pursue a career of her dreams in any field (academics, sports, arts, etc.)<\/p>\n Internshala Career Scholarship for Girls 2021 \u2013 FAQs<\/b><\/p>\n Who is eligible for the scholarship?<\/b><\/p>\n Girls (Indian nationals) between the ages of 17 to 23 years (as of 31st December 2020), i.e., born between 1st January 1997 and 31st December 2003 with a career objective are eligible to apply.<\/span><\/p>\n What is the scholarship amount?<\/b><\/p>\n The scholarship is a one-time reward of\u00a0<\/span>INR 25,000\/-<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n What is the purpose of this scholarship?<\/b><\/p>\n The scholarship is meant to advance the girl\u2019s career in some way \u2013 be it an\u00a0allowance for pursuing an internship or undertaking a project in the chosen field, payment towards a specialized training program, special equipment, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n What are the selection criteria?<\/b><\/p>\n Your application will be evaluated on the following criteria:<\/span><\/p>\n 1. An element of fighting against odds \u2013 these can be financial, societal, physical handicap or anything that might have put obstacles in your path.<\/span><\/p>\n 2. An element of achievement \u2013 you must have done remarkably well in your chosen field, be it academics, sports, music, or arts.<\/span><\/p>\n 3. An element of purpose \u2013 the purpose for which you will use the scholarship amount.<\/span><\/p>\n 4. An element of need \u2013 everything else being the same, the scholarship would be awarded to someone who is in greater financial need.<\/span><\/p>\n What is the application process?<\/b><\/p>\n The application process consists of three steps:<\/span><\/p>\n 1. Online form<\/b>\u00a0\u2013 Submission of application.<\/span><\/p>\n 2. Interview<\/b> \u2013 A short-list for a telephonic interview will be announced and interviews will be conducted. You will be asked to furnish all the necessary documents and proofs before the interview.<\/span><\/p>\n 3. Referee check<\/strong> \u2013 After the interview, your referee (provided in the form) will be contacted for verification, after which the final winner would be selected and announced.<\/span><\/p>\n Who all can be my referee?<\/b><\/p>\n You can give the details of the dean\/principal\/director, head of the department, professor of your college if you are a student or the head of the organisation (CEO, team lead, manager, etc.) if you are a professional.<\/p>\n How and when will the amount be paid?<\/b><\/p>\n Wherever possible, the amount will be paid directly towards the cause at the time of the need through the referee provided in the form.<\/span><\/p>\n What is the application deadline?<\/b><\/p>\n The application deadline for ICSG 2021 is\u00a0<\/span>15th January<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n When will the results be announced?<\/b><\/p>\n The results for ICSG-2021 will be announced by 2nd<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0February<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n How many candidates would be shortlisted for the interview?<\/b><\/p>\n There is no lower or upper limit for the shortlist. We would shortlist as many deserving candidates as possible.<\/span><\/p>\n How would you verify the information provided by an applicant?<\/b><\/p>\n The shortlisted candidates would be required to furnish all necessary documents and proofs before the interview.
