If you want to add up one to the first of those staggering figures, \u00a0apply for the UNHCR internship. It is one of the most flexible ones in the history of internships as its offered yearlong, open to citizens of all members of UN and with an option to choose which country to work in.<\/p>\n

About UNHCR<\/strong>:- United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees was established in December 14,1959 by UN general assembly and ever since it has been on the forefront in addressing the problems of the refugees. It aims at helping the uprooted and the stateless and in India it helps the Afghan Myanmar and other refugees by undertaking income generating activities.<\/p>\n

About the Internship<\/strong>:- It is open to students from all fields, however students will mostly be asked to\u00a0work\u00a0in the fields of refusgee protection(legal) \u00a0international relations administration and public affairs. They will work on projects beneficial both to themselves and UNHCR. Your application will be in the database for 6 months, within an official would get in touch \u00a0should they wish to hire you. You are supposed to renew your application once in every 6 months if you wish to continue in the database. It is an unpaid internship.<\/p>\n

Location<\/strong>:- Internships are available in most of the member countries, however all countries may not be offering internships at the same time. You can indicate your preferred locations in the application form.<\/p>\n

Duration<\/strong>:- 2-6 months<\/p>\n

Who can apply<\/strong>:- UNHCR uses an ambiguous umbrella term – young people.<\/p>\n
