About<\/strong> Svasti Foundation<\/strong>:- \u00a0Svasti Foundation (http:\/\/www.svasti.in), is an NGO headquartered in Goregaon, Mumbai working for setting up a microcredit scheme exclusively for the socially under-served such as eunuchs, rehabilitated sex workers and people with disabilities. The foundation is a sister organization of Svasti Microfinance Pvt. Ltd, which has been providing micro-finance to slum communities here in Mumbai for the past three years.<\/p>\n

About Internship: –\u00a0 <\/strong>Interns will be responsible for designing questionnaires and conducting field work in Karjat and\/or Sangli areas of Maharashtra with close supervision and monitoring by the foundation staff.. During field work, the candidate has to collect the data related to clients’ knowledge, attitude and financial activities. Candidates will gain ample first-hand experience about micro-finance and social development projects for \u00a0socially under-served groups.<\/p>\n

Number of internships:\u00a0–<\/strong> 3<\/p>\n

Who can apply:- <\/strong>\u00a0Candidate with Masters in Social development or Social Work and the ability to speak Hindi, Marathi, and English can apply. Candidates should also possess analytical skills using Excel and statistics and should have an experience of field work with various research methods.<\/p>\n

Location:-\u00a0 <\/strong>Goregaon in Mumbai and Karjat and\/or Sangli in Maharashtra<\/p>\n

Duration: –<\/strong>\u00a01 month<\/p>\n

Start date: –<\/strong>\u00a0ASAP<\/p>\n

Stipend:- \u00a0<\/strong>This is an unpaid internship. Cost of travel and accommodation during the field work will be covered.<\/p>\n
