About APCA Power: –<\/strong> APCA Power, a start up venture by IIT Madras alumni, is aiming to be a leader in renewable energy production in South-East Asian markets. APCA Power Private Limited is a renewable energy power developer with an aim to develop projects on a BOO pr BOOT basis.\u00a0 It\u00a0 has signed a 25 year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL) to set up a 5 MW Solar Photo Voltaic Power Plant, near Rajkot, in Gujarat.<\/p>\n

About Internship: –<\/strong> The selected interns would work on one of the 2 projects: –
\n1. Solar Resource Assessment and Analysis<\/strong> for different locations of India and South-East Asian. The analysis would be done via modeling and climatology studies. It includes System designing, Tilt angle optimization (tracking and non tracking), Shading analysis, Simulation using software, Life cycle generation analysis.<\/p>\n

2. Solar Photovoltaic Project Development and Management<\/strong> – It includes Government policy analysis, Detailed project report, Financial analysis, Pre-feasiblity analysis and report, Project charter, Project management planning using software. Any site related work, assisting in various documentation and calculative tasks given by upper management.<\/p>\n

The candidates will get hands on experience on solar photovoltaic power projects with development of technical, managerial, and commercial knowledge.<\/p>\n

Selection Procedure: –<\/strong> The selection will be done by two rounds of interviews, one technical and one management round.<\/p>\n

Who can apply: –<\/strong> Any graduate, post graduate (B.Tech \/ M.Tech) or candidates in their pre-final year in Electrical Engineering<\/strong>, Energy Engineering<\/strong>, Renewable Energy<\/strong> with good knowledge and strong motivation to work in the renewable energy production sector. The candidate should have an understanding of how PV works and related engineering in addition to good computer and written skills.<\/p>\n

Location: –<\/strong>\u00a0 Noida, India<\/p>\n

Duration: –<\/strong> 10-12 weeks<\/p>\n

Start date: –<\/strong> May-2012 (flexible as per student\u2019s academic schedule)<\/p>\n

Stipend<\/strong>: –<\/strong> Rs. 10,000 per month<\/p>\n
