\"\"The Rockefeller University’s Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) is designed to provide qualified, highly motivated college students majoring in the life or physical sciences, an opportunity to experience laboratory research. It is an excellent opportunity for undergraduate sophomores and juniors who are interested in pursuing a career in biomedically related sciences. About the internship: –\u00a0<\/strong>The purpose of summer research scholarships is to give students hands-on experience in the field of medical sciences by working with cutting edge technology and learning from scientists. SURF students work with leading scientists in a broad range of areas including biochemistry; structural biology and chemistry; molecular, cell and developmental biology; immunology; virology and microbiology; neuroscience; physics; and mathematical biology.<\/p>\n

Who can apply: – <\/strong>Undergraduate students in their 2nd or 3rd year of study can apply.<\/p>\n

Location: – <\/strong>Rockefeller University, New York<\/p>\n

Duration: – <\/strong>10 weeks (between June 3rd – August 9th, 2013)<\/p>\n

Stipend: – <\/strong>$ 4,000 + housing<\/p>\n
