Apply your skills to solve the health inequity in India by working with Swasth India in Mumbai. Your work, involving Research and Design, will impact 50,000 people. The last date to apply is\u00a020th December, 2012<\/strong> – hurry!<\/p>\n

\"\"About<\/strong> Swasth India: – <\/strong>Swasth India (www.swasthindia.in) is a social business working towards the goal “Health For All”. It plans to create an efficient and effective comprehensive health system providing all health services under one umbrella at ~40% less than existing market rates. <\/strong><\/p>\n

About Internship: – <\/strong>The interns would be responsible for:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Doing research on key health issues faced in the community (using reference material provided by Swasth India and the internet)<\/li>\n
  2. Creating simplified disease information reference material<\/li>\n
  3. Designing and creating simple, visually attractive and effective health education material on above topics (e.g. posters, flip charts, presentations, videos, etc.)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Number of internships:\u00a0–<\/strong> 2 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n

    Who can apply: <\/strong>– <\/strong>The role needs detail-orientation (for research), strong written communication skills (for simplified disease information reference material), good design skills (to create health education material), entrepreneurial energy and ability to work independently. Background in one or more of the below areas would be an added advantage:<\/p>\n

    1. Graphic designing<\/li>\n
    2. Film making\/video editing<\/li>\n
    3. Medical education
      \n<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Location: – <\/strong>Mumbai<\/p>\n

      Duration: – <\/strong>1 month<\/p>\n

      Start date: – <\/strong>December, 2012<\/p>\n

      Stipend: – <\/strong>Rs. 10,000 + a certificate will be provided on successful completion of internship<\/p>\n
