About<\/strong> Koshish: – <\/strong>Koshish views the social inclusion of the homeless and the destitute to be the prime responsibility of the government, whereby improved structures can be ensured towards the betterment of the people. Koshish started as a field action project of Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), in Mumbai in August, 2006 with an aim to address the issues of homelessness, destitution and beggary. From an emotional response to what one saw in the inhumane environment of an institution to a well-directed and strategic intervention model, Koshish has evolved through various phases, accommodating the growing needs and circumstances of the field.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In 2009, Koshish expanded to Delhi on the request of Social Welfare Department, Delhi Government. Recently, it started the work in Patna and is now in the process of setting up work in Bangalore.
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

About Internship: – <\/strong>The intern will be working on the following aspects of the project – case analysis, home visits, research, documentation, legal appeals drafting, sports\/recreational program, volunteer engagement program and campaign building.<\/p>\n

Number of internships:\u00a0–<\/strong> 4 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n

Who can apply: <\/strong>– <\/strong>All graduates\/ post graduate students especially the ones from Law, Media and Arts backgrounds can apply. Students who have experience in research\/ documentation\/ community service or those who are prepared to work independently will be preferred.
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Location: – <\/strong>New Delhi\/Mumbai
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Duration: – <\/strong>1 month<\/p>\n

Start date: – <\/strong>January, 2013<\/p>\n

Stipend: – <\/strong>This is an unpaid internship + a certificate and letter of recommendation will be provided on completion of internship. Travel allowance and any other expenses related to field work during the internship period would be provided by the organization.
