About ORF: –<\/strong> ORF (http:\/\/www.observerindia.com\/cms\/sites\/orfonline\/html\/aboutus\/aboutus.html<\/a>) was started in the early nineties, as a private, not for profit, \u2018think tank\u2019 to influence public policy formulation during the troubled period of India\u2019s transition from a protected economy to a new engagement with the international economic order. Serious threats to its security were rapidly emerging. At that time, a need was felt for an independent forum that would examine the critical problems facing the country and help develop coherent policy responses in a rapidly changing global environment. The Foundation brought together, for the first time, leading Indian economists and policymakers to present An Agenda for Economic Reforms in India. The idea was to help develop a consensus in favor of economic reforms.<\/p>\n

Today, ORF<\/strong> is known among policy makers, both in India and abroad, as a place pulsating with fresh promises and ideas. Ideas are what shape public policy think tanks. Young researchers are encouraged to take up challenges of organizing and leading projects which, in the years to come, would be symbols of pride for the Foundation.<\/p>\n

About Internship: –<\/strong> Observer Research Foundation offers internships for scholars\/students from diverse backgrounds but with mandatory skills in English language to work on a range of projects of national and international importance. Interns may be asked to participate in a variety of activities, including research, writing, and organizing meetings and events that support the goals of the program The objectives of the program are: –<\/p>\n

  1. To provide opportunities for scholars\/students to gain practical experience in research and writing analytical reports & expose them to the activities of the Foundation<\/li>\n
  2. To provide ORF with the assistance of qualified students specialized in various professional fields to help build the database, prepare special reports and generate content for the website.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Who can apply: –<\/strong> The applicant must be at least a graduate or\/and enrolled at a college\/university\/institution for advanced studies\/diploma with functional knowledge of using computers<\/p>\n

    Location: –<\/strong> Delhi, India.<\/p>\n

    Duration: –<\/strong> 3-24 weeks. The length of the internship depending on the project each intern will be assigned to and on the requirements of each Institute\/Centre\/Chapter.<\/p>\n

    Stipend: – <\/strong>Rs. 5,000\/month <\/strong><\/p>\n
