National \"NCRA-TIFR\"Centre for Radio Astrophysics of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (NCRA-TIFR), Pune is inviting applications for the Visiting Student Research Programme (VSRP-2013).\u00a0 The application deadline is 15th Feburary 2013- <\/strong>hurry!<\/strong>
\n\u00a0About NCRA-TIFR<\/strong>: – The National Centre for Radio Astrophysics of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (NCRA-TIFR), Pune, is a leading centre of research in a wide range of areas in Astronomy and Astrophysics. NCRA-TIFR offers exciting opportunities for research in Astronomy and Astrophysics, and instrumentation, with an emphasis on radio astronomy.<\/p>\n

About Internship:- <\/strong>The VSRP-2013 will consist of a research project on astronomy and astrophysics, either theoretical, observational or computational, depending on project availability and student preferences.<\/p>\n

Who can apply: – <\/strong>\u00a0Applications are invited for this programme from students interested in Physics and Astronomy, and who will complete their B.Sc.\/M.Sc. degrees (in Physics\/Astronomy\/Applied Mathematics\/Electronics) or B.Tech.\/B.E. degrees in 2014. Students who will complete their B.Sc. degrees in 2013 may also apply, as well as those completing the third or fourth years of an integrated M.Sc. course in 2013.<\/p>\n

Location: –\u00a0<\/strong>Pune<\/p>\n

Duration:- <\/strong>May 6 to July 5, 2013.<\/p>\n

Stipend:- <\/strong> Rs. 7000\/- per month + Accommodation + 1.33 times the second-class return railway fare between the place of their residence or education and Pune.<\/p>\n
