About Haas Institute for a Fair and Inclusive Society: – <\/strong>The Haas Institute for a Fair and Inclusive Society is a new Institute at UC Berkeley arising out of the Berkeley Diversity Research Initiative. The Haas Institute brings together researchers, stakeholders, policymakers, and communicators to identify and challenge the barriers to an inclusive, just, and sustainable society and to create transformative change.<\/p>\n

About the internship: –\u00a0<\/strong>Summer interns will work on a wide range of projects relating to marginalized groups and social cleavages including race, LGBTQ, disability, religion, socioeconomic disparities, and the new and emerging research on the global north\/global south relations. Summer interns may assist in legal and policy analysis, preparation of presentations, literature reviews, bibliographic annotation, planning and coordinating meetings, conferences and other engagements, writing projects including book chapters, discussion papers and journal articles, and conducting extensive statistical and data analysis.<\/p>\n

Who can apply: – <\/strong>Bachelor\u2019s degree completed (or in progress) or equivalent combination of education\/experience; experience with Microsoft Office suite software, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint; excellent verbal and written communication skills; good organizational skills and the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines; a demonstrated interest in social justice.<\/p>\n

Stipend: – <\/strong>Students will be provided a sum of $2,000 as stipend.<\/p>\n
