About Eklavya Foundation : –<\/strong> Eklavya Foundation (http:\/\/eklavya.in\/joytree\/) has been working in the field of education since last three decades. Some of its work include developing course curriculum for state boards and CBSE at primary and middle school level,teacher’s training, setting up libraries in villages, publishing etc. It works in close association with NCERT,SCERT, Tata Institute of Social Science (TISS) and Azim Premji Foundation.<\/p>\n

About the internship: – <\/strong>There are 4 different profiles available: –<\/p>\n

1. Design: – <\/strong>The selected intern would be designing a template for online magazine in unicode font and preparing one complete issue of the Online magazine.<\/p>\n

Skills required – Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Photoshop, Idea of Unicode (Hindi).<\/p>\n

2. Web development: – <\/strong>The selected intern would develop a shopping cart on website. Interns need to do thorough research to get most suited open source shopping cart for e-commerce website and do a trial run.<\/p>\n

Skills required: – Strong knowledge of PHP and MySQL database, MVC frameworks like CodeIgniter, Joomla, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jquery, MooTools.<\/p>\n

3. Editorial: – <\/strong>The selected intern would work with the editorial team.<\/p>\n

Skills required: – Student should have some flair for language or science or both and some level of proficiency in Hindi<\/p>\n

4. Field Work & Coordination: – <\/strong>The selected intern will work with the team trying to develop a model to make libraries in govt schools functional especially for summer camps.<\/p>\n

Skills required: – The intern should be interested in interacting directly with students (middle school 12-15 years), teachers & community and should be ready to spend time in the field with the team.<\/p>\n

Who can apply: –<\/b> For technical roles, students from IITs\/BITS-Pilani\/DCE\/NITs will be preferred. For non-technical role any student with relevant skills can apply.<\/p>\n

Location: –<\/b> Bhopal, Ujjain, Hoshangabad (MP). Network with fellow interns in these cities via Internconnect<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Duration: –<\/b> 1 month (minimum)<\/p>\n

Start date: –<\/b> May 2013<\/p>\n
