A new city, a new workplace and a chance to meet new people, many of you may secretly be hoping for this internship to turn out more than just work ;). So without much further ado, here are the sure shot ways to make sure lady<\/em> luck smiles your way this time!<\/p>\n

For guys<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Knowledge is your weapon: –<\/strong> If you are a geek who has landed a finance internship this summer, sprinkle every conversation you have with her with Black-Scholes equation<\/a> or any reference to it. After all, nothing says\u00a0I like you<\/em> better than a double derivative partial differential equation.<\/p>\n

And if you happen to be in an Engineering internship, replace Black-Scholes equation with talks on ‘God’ particle – consider it as a divine intervention!<\/p>\n

2. The language of love: – <\/strong>despite, what they all say, is French. So dust off your notes from that foreign language free elective that you had in 3rd semester.<\/p>\n

3. Take advantage of city’s poor public transport system:\u00a0 –<\/strong> If you are a localite with a 2-wheeler, you are already 2 steps (or shall we say 2 wheels) ahead of 95% others who aren’t. Whisk your girl away to that dream date while other dudes are busy haggling ‘Bhaiya, PVR Chaloge?’<\/em><\/p>\n

4.\u00a0 Stock up Rom-Coms and Daily Soaps: – <\/strong>She is likely to be alone in a new city without any internet or TV connection. Max out your hostel LAN before your leave for the internship to download terabytes of stuff you two can watch over a tub of popcorn on the weekends. It would help if you have already watched 3,678 till date aired episodes of Uttaran <\/em>so that both of you are on the same page.<\/p>\n

5. Be the knight in the shining armor: – <\/strong>If all of the above does not work, don’t worry. The final battle, in form of the final presentation that she has to make, is yours to be won. Dazzle her with your typing speed and advanced knowledge of power point charts – your own graph will only go up from there on!<\/p>\n

Caution: – <\/em>Don’t implement 5th tip for her weekly reports and presentations. You risk entering ‘friends forever’ zone :)<\/p>\n
