World Health Organization (WHO) has announced internships related to public health. Students who have completed at least three years of university studies are eligible to apply. The last date for application is 30th April\u00a02013 – hurry<\/strong>!<\/div>\n

\"\"About the internship: –\u00a0<\/strong>Internships are available in the areas of General Program Management and Administration, Health Security and Emergencies, Health Systems, Communicable Diseases and Non-Communicable Diseases.<\/p>\n

Who can apply: – <\/b>There are 3 levels of criteria:<\/p>\n

Education:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
      \n
        \n
      1. Minimum of three years university studies, ideally a first degree, in medical or social science or a field related to the work of WHO. The intern must be a student during the internship.<\/li>\n
      2. Additionally there are limited possibilities for students from disciplines such as Information Technology, Media Relations, Human Resouces, Business Administration and\/or Public Administration.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/ol>\n<\/ol>\n

        Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n

          \n
            \n
              \n
            1. Experience in research and in drafting reports would be preferred.<\/li>\n
            2. Experience in the subject area through academic work or research would be an advantage.<\/li>\n
            3. Field and\/or developing country experience would be an advantage.<\/li>\n
            4. Experience with data analysis, statistical packages and interest in the design of graphical display and analysis of health information in an international comparative perspective, such as for health system performance assessment may be an advantage.<\/li>\n
            5. More specific experience such as specialized computer programmes may be needed for some internships.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/ol>\n<\/ol>\n

              Languages:<\/strong><\/p>\n

                  1. Essential: Interns should have a very good working knowledge of English (reading, writing and speaking).<\/li>\n
                  2. Desirable: Knowledge of the language of the duty station where the internship is taking place.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/ol>\n<\/ol>\n

                    Location: –\u00a0<\/b>Multiple locations in the Western Pacific Region.<\/p>\n

                    Stipend: –\u00a0<\/b>This is an unpaid internship.<\/p>\n
