The application deadline is <strong>3rd August, 2013- hurry!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><!--more--><strong>About Doctors for You: &#8211; <\/strong>Doctors For You (DFY) is an humanitarian organization registered under the Societies Registration Act 1860 based in India, formed by doctors, medical students and likeminded people. The thrust of DFY\u2019s work is to provide medical relief, sustainable healthcare services, capacity building and risk reduction activities during crisis and non-crisis situations. The organization has vast experience of working in disasters which include Mumbai floods 2005, Bihar floods 2008, Andhra Pradesh-Karnataka floods 2009, Orissa floods 2011 and Assam ethnic violence 2012.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>About the internship: &#8211; <\/strong>Intern will be working under the mentorship of the President. Specific responsibilities include-<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>The intern will be required to assist the president in the day to day activities working closely on the areas of organisational management, liaisoning with important stakeholders in the government, provide a strong platform for showcasing DFY in stakeholder circles through innovative PR methods, following up on HNIs and large funders and day to day activities of the office in Mumbai<\/li>\n<li>The intern will be responsible for coordinating with all the operation heads and will be an important part of holding all the operations together in the matters of organisational transition.<\/li>\n<li>The intern will be required to communicate with the employees and the members of DFY on a regular basis and make appropriate changes to the documents produced.<\/li>\n<li>The intern should also be able to handle ad hoc requests of various natures as and when required out of the mandated responsibilities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b># of internships available: &#8211;<\/b> 1<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Who can apply: &#8211;<\/b> Desired skills\/attributes:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>A bachelors\/masters degree in Social Sciences, Management, Public Health, Disaster Management or of an equivalent<\/li>\n<li>Strong inclination to work in the humanitarian sector especially in a public health setup is necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication skills, both written and oral are required<\/li>\n<li>The candidate must be well acquainted with Microsoft Office.<\/li>\n<li>The candidate should also be well aware of the nuances of working in the disaster affected regions of India and be extremely aware of the security situations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Location: &#8211;<\/b> Mumbai<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Work from home available: &#8211;<\/b> No<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Duration: &#8211;<\/b> 3 months<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Start date: &#8211;<\/b> As soon as possible<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Stipend: &#8211;<\/b> Rs 10,000\/- to\u00a0 Rs 15,000\/-\u00a0 per month + Food + Accommodation + TA\/DA and phone charges for the purposes of office work will be provided + Certificate + Letter of Recommendation<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>How to apply:<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 If all set, go ahead and apply\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/internshala.com\/blog\/registration\/Login.php?internship_id=1084\"><strong>here<\/strong><\/a>.
