Koshish works on various issues related to poverty, beggary and destitution, the criminal justice system and social development. About<\/strong> Koshish: \u2013 <\/strong>Koshish views the social inclusion of the homeless and the destitute to be the prime responsibility of the government, whereby improved structures can be ensured towards the betterment of the people. Koshish started as a field action project of Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), in Mumbai in August, 2006 with an aim to address the issues of homelessness, destitution and beggary. From an emotional response to what one saw in the inhumane environment of an institution to a well-directed and strategic intervention model, Koshish has evolved through various phases, accommodating the growing needs and circumstances of the field.<\/p>\n

About the fellowship: – <\/strong>Selected candidates will be working on the various aspects of the project: research, vocational training program, employers’ collective, volunteer engagement program and campaign building, working with homeless groups.<\/p>\n

# of internships available: –<\/b> 4<\/p>\n

Who can apply: –<\/b> All postgraduates, especially the ones from Social Work, Law, Media and Arts backgrounds are invited to apply. Students who have experience in research\/ documentation\/ community service or those who are prepared to work independently will be preferred.<\/p>\n

Location: –<\/b> Mumbai, Patna.<\/p>\n

Work from home available: –<\/b> No<\/p>\n

Duration: –<\/b> 1 – 2 years<\/p>\n

Start date: –<\/b> As soon as possible<\/p>\n

Stipend: –<\/b>Rs 23,000\/- per month + Medical Insurance + Travel and phone expenses related to program would be provided by the organization.<\/p>\n
