How College Changed me (For Better or For Worse)<\/strong><\/h3>\n
\n

This is one of the topics which I have dreamt of giving a speech for the reason behind my success. And seeing this post of Internshala I was so thrilled that I’m getting a chance to express my gratitude to my alma mater with hands over my heart.\u00a0<\/span>Enrolled in the best school in the city with the best students, it was hard for me to prove myself in various aspects, be it academics and cultural activities. There was huge competition to prove myself and considered myself a “perfect loser”.<\/span><\/p>\n

The whole story took a U-turn as I joined my college. The atmosphere was totally different. And after the four years which passed I would say it was you GEC<\/strong> that changed my way. From the first year onwards it was like “If you wanna do it, you have the room for it”. One such incident was the ragging. I was made to sing a song, they liked it and they supported me to sing for many of the college functions as the female vocalist in the college rock band. I felt it as a great opportunity for me. The\u00a0CANVAS<\/b>\u00a0art exhibition helped me showcase my works and I gained appreciation from the renowned artists of the city. It was in the college that I was able to make friends for life.<\/span><\/p>\n

But the real change happened when a radio jockey conducted a program in our college. The smartest were asked to come forward. My friend and I decided to give it a shot. To our surprise we were asked to dance for a song in front of the huge crowd. I was in such a shock but not my friend who was the best dancer in the college and to top it all my song was “sheila ki jawaani”. With all my strength I performed it along with her and to my surprise all girls were on my side (by the way all boys was on her side :P but it doesn’t matter at all). With this experience, I even participated in the flash mob in the city.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

One such fear which was deep inside me was public speaking which vanished with the placement training programs. And yes, my friends and seniors who supported me for all my crazy things are the ones to be thanked.\u00a0<\/span>I treasure my teachers here who are so different from the ones in other colleges.They are so inspiring and ready to help us in all ways.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

And yes that’s is how I changed!<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
