\"InternshipNikhil from IIT BHU did his summer internship at ONGC and find it very interesting. He\u00a0learnt a lot from his experience. Read his story to know more.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Starting from day 1,ONGC has been a giant organization to work at.\u00a0I joined Well Stimulation Services, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation on a day before it turned 40. With a grand celebration and CMD visiting to Sertha base of ONGC, my internship was marked with a good start. Next came \u00a0my mentor allotment, which was decided by General manager of the particular base of ONGC. A kind and hard working person who is\u00a0always serious about work, this defines the General Manager at ONGC. My mentor as allotted\u00a0was a technical head of hydraulic fracturing.<\/p>\n

Working at ONGC has never been a cake walk as the kind of job done here is difficult and requires both physical and mental fitness and endurance. In the weather of summer , super heated sun above and one in mid of a deserted area with the team performing jobs (hydraulic fracturing, acidization, nitrogen, CTU), is a challenging task.\u00a0Safety is always a major concern and kept in mind of all working men and women here. If there is a job to be performed then week before entire planning is done.\u00a0During my internship period, I myself witnessed more than 10 jobs of each unit , converting to around 50-60 jobs.\u00a0With passing days, I became familiar with work culture and have made good connection with people there . On job site an engineer or a junior engineer is always there to guide us through every process of job and its details. In the end, a report was submitted based upon my job visits and research upon particular area chosen by me and was evaluated and discussed by mentor and other technical persons there.<\/p>\n

At last I received a certificate of accomplishment from ONGC.<\/p>\n
