If it\u2019s easy then it\u2019s not worth it and if it\u2019s worth it then you have to wait. Saurav lived few best days of his life during the internship and was successful in completing the given work.<\/em><\/p>\n

Getting an internship especially in the research field isn\u2019t an easy task now a days. Going through each and every website every day and browsing for opportunities is a gruesome task. It requires a lot of patience and most importantly the time. Usually in 2nd year we don\u2019t have much knowledge about core subjects and thus we need to take up industrial internships. But after 3rd year the chances of getting a research internship increases. Apart from that, we become more aware of various courses and become sure about our aims and thus our search for internships gets optimized. After a long struggle I got selected in the summer internship program of IIT Guwahati. My topic was on \u2018Path planning of Mobile Robots\u2019. It was a great experience working with the professors and PhD scholars. The well-furnished R&D lab provided a perfect research environment and the cooperation of research scholars was of great help. I made a lot of new friends and got to know about other different projects going on. I could go and talk to other interns and PhD scholars about their projects and sit in various seminars. The library and the computer centre became a source of entertainment and knowledge for me. The 24 hours internet was like a blessing in disguise. Internship is not all about research. We should also find some \u2018me time\u2019 in new places. We should go out on weekends to enjoy. I took a leave for one day and went on a tour to nearby places like Mawsynram and Shillong. My internship period was of 8 weeks. I completed my research work in time and this added a feather to my cap. The research work most probably will get published in some conference which will be of importance. Still after my internship I maintain contact with other people over there and other places. It helps me keep motivated for my dream. It was an awesome experience.<\/p>\n
