\"\"<\/a>Every once in a while, you come across an initiative and your heart says – “What an Idea, sirjee!<\/em>“. Netapedia is one such initiative by a team of IIT Bombay students. Everyone has their own weapons to fight corruption and push for a cleaner political system in country. Anna Hazare chose Hunger Strike and these techies have chosen Information. How often we do not vote just because we do not know who is a good candidate and who is a bad one and have no easy access to information which can help us decide. Netapedia is an attempt to break this information barrier to enable informed decision making by the voters and greater accountability of our political leaders.<\/p>\n

The team is now looking for interns in area of Technology, Operations, and Media – pick your choice and have a meaningful <\/em>winter.<\/p>\n

About Netapedia: \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>Netapedia (www.netapedia.in<\/a>) envisions to be an informative, educative and interactive online platform on Indian politicians and noteworthy political events to increase awareness about important national issues by ensuring participation from fellow citizens.<\/p>\n

It has authentic profiles of Indian politicians based on the affidavits filed by them before the elections along with the MPLADS (Member of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme) summary for each of the MPs. One can also find the latest news on Indian politics containing a variety of analysis on Indian politics and politicians. The aim is to provide authentic information on important past and present national events and elections and incorporate citizens’ feedback on these. The team plans to develop interactive content to engage citizens in fun activities while educating them and making them aware about the Indian Bureaucracy and the country’s political evolution over the years.<\/p>\n

Who can apply<\/strong>: \u2013 Students from in-around Mumbai (especially from IIT Bombay) would be preferred. Relevant skills and a keenness in the role are pre-requisite<\/p>\n
