admitted to the first year of a degree-level technical course or the second year through lateral entry in an AICTE-approved institution.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Family criteria: <\/strong>Maximum two girl children per family are eligible.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Income limit:<\/strong> Family income from all sources should not exceed \u20b98 lakh per annum, and a valid income certificate is required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Course criteria:<\/strong> The scholarship is for technical degree courses; students in non-technical courses, non-AICTE-approved courses\/institutions, dual degree courses, or postgraduate courses may be rejected.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Gap rule: <\/strong>The gap between passing the qualifying exam and admission to the degree course should not be more than 2 years.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Selection process: <\/strong>Selection is based on merit in the qualifying examination, mainly marks obtained in Class 12\/equivalent for entry into the technical degree course.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tie-breaking: <\/strong>If there is a tie, higher Class 10 marks are considered first; if still tied, the older candidate is ranked higher.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Renewal rule:<\/strong> Scholarship can be renewed through NSP by submitting the required promotion\/passing documents; students who fail or drop out are not eligible
