It gives registered ICSI students a national platform to showcase public speaking, legal-business reasoning, governance awareness, confidence, and debating skills. The competition is conducted in multiple stages: Chapter Level, Regional Level, and National Level. Rules<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Eligibility: <\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open only to bona fide registered students of ICSI.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students who have passed the Professional Programme but are yet to enrol for CLDP can also participate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participants must carry their ICSI identity card during the competition.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Practising Advocates, Chartered Accountants, and Cost Accountants are not eligible.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Rules:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Students can speak either for the motion or against the motion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Each participant gets up to 10 minutes to speak.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Warning bell is given after 8 minutes and final bell after 10 minutes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Marks may be deducted if the participant exceeds the time limit.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Formal dress code is required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Judges\u2019 decision will be final and binding.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Selection process:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Chapter Level winners and runners-up qualify for the Regional Level Round.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>First, second, and third prize winners from each Regional Round qualify for the National Round.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>National winners are selected from the 12 regional finalists.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-text-color has-alpha-channel-opacity has-background is-style-default\" style=\"background-color:#f0f0f0;color:#f0f0f0\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83c\udfc6 <strong>Benefits for the Participants<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Chapter Level:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>First, second, and third prize winners receive commendation certificates.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Regional Level:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>First Prize: \u20b910,000 + Commendation Certificate<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Second Prize: \u20b96,000 + Commendation Certificate<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Third Prize: \u20b94,000 + Commendation Certificate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>National Level:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>First Prize: \u20b920,000 + Commendation Certificate<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Second Prize: \u20b912,000 + Commendation Certificate<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Third Prize: \u20b98,000 + Commendation Certificate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Additional incentive:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Travel expenses for student teams may be borne by the respective Chapters or Regional Councils as per ICSI guidelines.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\ud83d\udcccAbout the Event The ICSI 25th All India Debate Competition 2026 is an annual student debate contest organised by The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).
