The Gasworks Residency India 2026 is a fully funded international art residency opportunity for an early career artist based in India. Gasworks is calling for applications from early-career artists based in India for an 11 week, fully funded residency that will take place in London from 7 July to 22 September 2026. This is one of the most sought-after artist development opportunities available to Indian artists. The Gasworks Residency India 2026 is supported by the Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation and the Charles Wallace India Trust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who Can Apply?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The applicant must be an Indian passport holder and currently residing in India. The applicant may be a contemporary visual art practitioner working in all disciplines. An emerging and mid-career artist producing high quality work who has not had the opportunity to work in London before will be prioritised. The applicant must have at least a moderate level of spoken English proficiency. The applicant should not have received any prior grant from the Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation for any other overseas project. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What the Residency Provides<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The Gasworks Residency India 2026 covers return economy flights from the artist’s home city in India, all visa costs and support, a weekly stipend to cover living expenses in London, a materials budget, a London travel card, single room accommodation in the shared Gasworks Residencies House, 24-hour studio access, an Open Studio public event, and professional curatorial and pastoral support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
