We are looking to hire a talented and experienced video editor to join our global creative team remotely.
As a lead video editor, you will be responsible for assembling recorded video footage, applying artistic editing techniques, and creating finished, broadcast-worthy projects that accurately reflect the vision of the production director and the client.
Job summary:
1. Discussing with the director to determine production vision
2. Reviewing raw material to determine the shot list
3. Manipulating video footage using modern editing techniques
4. Maintaining continuity while moving shots according to scene value
5. Trimming footage and putting together the rough project
6. Inserting dialog, sound effects, music, graphics, and special effects
7. Ensuring the project follows a logical sequence
8. Consulting with the director and production team throughout the project
9. Creating the final cut for broadcasting
Key responsibilities:
1. Digitally cutting files to put together the sequence of the video and deciding what's usable
2. Creating a 'rough cut' (or assembly edit) of the video and determining the exact cutting for the next and final stages
3. Overseeing the quality and progress of audio and video engineering and editing
4. experimenting with styles and techniques including the design of graphic elements
5. writing voiceover/commentary
6. Depending on your role you may also finalize technical aspects such as correcting faulty footage, grading & coloring and adding special effects
7. Splicing raw footage together from various sources and shoots, and combining it with other scenes to create a cohesive story
8. Combining visual footage with audio sound effects, dialogue, ambient sound, and a musical soundtrack to create more drama in the story
9. Ensuring all editing cuts, splices, changes and additions appear seamless and natural and help the story flow more effectively in the finished product
Hands-on experience with editing software including Adobe Creative Suite, After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Premier will be preferred
Knowledge of additional creative technology software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Cinema 4D, Final Cut Pro X, Avid Media Composer, Lightworks) will be an added advantage

Annual CTC: ₹ 3,00,000 - 5,00,000 /year
Annual CTC breakup:
1. Fixed component: 80%
2. Variable component: 20%
