Key responsibilities:

1. Work to provide sensible, robust and extensible APIs and back-end architecture for a variety of web-based and native mobile apps
2. Own all data modeling and controller code by leveraging common OO design patterns
3. Design and maintain all session management, authentication, authorization and integrations with remote systems
4. Write elegant and well-documented code, with a strict eye towards separation of concerns, scalability and maintainability

Strong working knowledge of a PaaS architecture such as Heroku

Strong working knowledge of scalable SQL and noSQL based indexing and storage systems such as MySQL, MongoDB, and ElasticSearch

Strong working knowledge of writing applications using MVC framework in Ruby on Rails

Experience with Node.js a positive

Experience with React.js a positive

Strong working knowledge of page-level, object-level and edge caching systems such as Varnish, Redis, Akamai and CloudFront

Experience with at least one IAM or SSO system such as Gigya, Janrain, LoginRadius or OneLogin a plus
