Has already worked on self-initiated projects and has gone through a full cycle of bringing an idea to the functional prototype stage or product stage
Knowledge of analog circuits, digital circuits, various communication protocols (CAN bus, UART, SPI, I2C & others), PCB schematics and PCB routing, barebones microcontroller programming (any), and components in electronics
Good understanding of fundamental concepts of digital and analog circuits

An EV is a culmination of multiple precisely working subsystems. Each is a masterpiece in its own right, sensing and controlling the subsystem to ensure the whole vehicle and other systems perform to delight the rider. You, as an electronics and embedded engineer, will be responsible for one such system - BLDC motor controller, BMS, telematics unit, cell testers, or the battery pack controller unit. You will be expected to understand the functioning of the vehicle and the exact behavior required by the subsystem to ensure that the vehicle behaves as intended. You will be working as a one-man army with little or no supervision to ensure the delivery of the vehicle subsystem within agreed timelines. You will conceptualize new ideas, select components, draw schematics, route PCBs, prototype, write firmware for them, test the same, and support them till they go into production.
