Shweta Shalini is advisor to Chief Minister of Maharashtra, a government policy expert and working in the field of rural transformation in the capacity of executive director of VSTF which aims to transform 1000 backward villages of Maharashtra adopted by the Chief Minister into model villages. Additionally, she is a start-up mentor and a successful entrepreneur while also being an advisor to Niti Aayog.
About the Internship:
Selected Intern's day to day responsibilities include:

1. Research government policies, schemes and its impact on the ground
2. Create a database of the functioning of different departments and inputs on improvements
3. Assist in fieldwork/survey at the grassroots level
4. Read and summarize government reports including open-source documents
5. Create content including drafting of formal reports as well as creative writing
6. Suggest measures for improvement with facts and statistics to support it
7. Curate media reports including TV, newspapers and social media sentiment

Skill(s) required: MS-Office, MS-PowerPoint and MS-Excel (Learn MS-Excel)
Who can apply:
Only those candidates can apply who:
  1. are available for part time internship
  2. can start the internship between 12th Jul'18 and 11th Aug'18
  3. are available for duration of 6 months
  4. have relevant skills and interests

Other requirements:
  1. Should be 18 years old or above (as on 31/07/2018) and pursuing their graduation/or equivalent
  2. Should have basic knowledge of Indian political system and bureaucratic process.
  3. Should have good communication skills and ability to work in teams
  4. Should have proficiency in Marathi, English & Hindi
  5. Tech-savvy candidates would be preferred
