About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Study plants and soil to develop advisory for better planting, cultivation, and harvesting techniques
2. Improve crop yield and solve problems facing the agriculture industry
3. Establish a clear co-relation between effects of changes in soil, climate, and weather or prevent damage from pests for focus crops
4. Develop crop advisory modules for all crops
5. Contribute in-product development, crop modeling, and support sales in technical aspects
6. Maintain and advise detailed records regarding fields, customers, crops, and samples
7. Make regular calls to farmers and follow-up on support and advisory requirements
8. Generate reports, documentations, and research content for blogs and media

Added requirements

1. Must have a bachelors/masters degree in agronomy, agriculture, or a related field

2. Must have proficiency with computers, especially MS Office and diagnostic scientific software

3. Must have exceptional active listening, verbal, and written communication skills

4. Must have the awareness of industry trends, technology, and developments

5. Must have the ability to talk to farmers and provide advisory guidance over the phone

6. Candidates having spoken proficiency in multiple languages will have an added advantage (Marathi/Telugu/Kannada/Hindi)

7. Must be able to converse with farmers in local languages

8. Must have spoken proficiency in English
