About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code
2. Design, build, and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable Java code
3. Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application
4. Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
5. Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
6. Collaborate and communicate effectively with the Operations team, to develop new features
7. Work with Product team and Backend team to pioneer product ideas and provide app implementation

1. A love for coding and a passion for exploring new technology to create state-of-the-art products

2. Strong knowledge of Android SDK, and how to deal with different screen sizes

3. Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services

4. Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices

5. Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning

6. Ability to design applications around natural user interfaces, such as -touch-

7. Familiarity with the use of additional sensors, such as gyroscopes and accelerometers is a plus

8. Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks

9. Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements

10. Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications

11. A knack for benchmarking and optimizationFamiliarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services

12. Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices

13. Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
