We are looking for an Android developer who possesses a passion for pushing mobile technologies to the limits. This Android app developer will work with the small team our team of database developers, designers, and advisors to design and build an innovative collaboration platform using Google Maps API, basic check status and update functionality and evolve the platform leveraging chatbot and machine learning.
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
3. Work with outside data sources and APIs
4. Manage unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
5. Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
6. Discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
What we are looking for:
1. Proven software development experience and Android skills development
2. Proven working experience in Android app development and
3. Have published at least one original Android app
4. Experience with Android SDK
5. Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON
6. Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
7. Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architecture and emerging technologies
8. Good understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
