The Design Toolbox is an architectural practice based in Ahmedabad. It was founded in 2017 by architects Ramya Ramesh and Bhavin Shukla, who are passionate about working in the social and cultural spheres. We collaborate with a range of individuals, organizations, and communities to offer design, research, and educational services in architecture.
We work in the following three areas:
1. Architectural practice: Architectural design, exhibition design, and community-led urban design projects including site development, building design, and interior design
2. Research & communication: Architectural and urban research projects including documentation, mapping, writing, and exhibition curation
3. Design education: Course design, instructional design consultancy to educational institutions and organizations; courses and workshops on architecture for school children and participants from different backgrounds
