About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Assist with drawing plans of structures using computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) software
Build models and prototypes of buildings
2. Draft specifications for building materials, construction methods, quality of materials and processes and other project details
3. Assemble plans, documents and other information to be used in permit applications
4. Research applicable building, zoning and land development codes
5. Obtain information on the feasibility and quality of proposed materials
6. Help senior architects with project and contract administration, including evaluation of work for compliance with plans
