1. Should have an MS or Ph.D. in computer science
2. Should have 3+ years of experience in computer vision and machine learning
3. Should have background and expertise with object segmentation, classification, detection, and multi object tracking
4. Should have prior knowledge of LSTMs and video action recognition algorithms is a HUGE plus
5. Should have the capability with deep learning frameworks (e.g., Caffe, Keras, TensorFlow)
6. Should have mastery of C++ or Python
7. Should have experience building data pipelines
8. Should have familiarity with software design best-practices, test-driven development, and frequent end-to-end testing
9. Should have mastery of OpenCV and computer vision algorithms such as SIFT, HOG, and edge detection
This description is for a remote deep learning & software development internship position at a fast-growing startup in Silicon Valley, USA. Successful candidates will develop computer vision algorithms that automatically extract actionable insights from video. The internship can lead to a full-time offer based on satisfactory performance. Being a startup, the role will additionally involve managing the backend, including databases, server, load balancing, error logging and more. If you are seeking a pure 'deep learning' role or if you are looking to do deep learning research, this is not a good fit. If you are still learning deep learning/ML, and have done 1 or 2 small projects, this won't be a good fit either.
