Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

2. Setting up systems for collecting and cleaning data
3. Tweaking and implementing ideas from research papers to develop algorithms
4. Analyzing the data and algorithms

Note: A lot of the work will require you to carefully understand different battery mechanisms and manufacturing steps. In a way, there's more stress on the 'science' part of data science. Please do not come in with the expectation that you will just be handed readymade datasets on which you can apply off-the-shelf models.
