Business Development (Sales) Internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Creating a sponsorship/ delegate acquisition strategy to effectively grow the event revenue across the portfolio
2. Utilizing creative sources for lead acquisition (competitive events, associations, industry events, press releases, etc.)
3. Maintaining a thorough understanding of Eventexpertzz products, the industry and our competitors
4. Providing the Director with a weekly report detailing activities, updates and forecast
5. Developing ways to increase revenue through new sales activity: production of sales emails, sales brochure, competitive event strategy, overall new business generation.
6. Monitoring sales figures and reporting on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis to enable senior management to be updated on the progress of the show and sponsorships
7. Sourcing your own leads for the events (sponsorship and delegates)
8. Selling across a broad portfolio of products including sponsorship, exhibition, and delegate passes
9. Bringing new ideas, enthusiasm and a creative approach to sales
10. Researching your markets to understand the issues driving each industry, and communicate them to senior executives
11. Managing the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to pitching to closing
12. Developing new clients and opportunities for business and maintain a client database
13. Identifying the target market for solution provider sponsorship and delegate acquisition opportunities
