About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers
2. Visiting potential customers for new business
3. Negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales
4. Gathering market and customer information
5. Negotiating variations in price, delivery, and specifications with your company's managers
6. Reviewing your own sales performance, against targets as you gain experience
7. Assisting in the creation of signage, circulars, mock ups, e-mail campaigns, online promotion, etc.
8. Seeking and analyzing competitor marketing and sales materials both on and offline
9. Preparing presentations
10. Ensuring quality of service by developing a thorough and detailed knowledge of technical specifications and other features of employers' systems and processes, and then documenting them
11. Identifying and developing new business through networking and courtesy and follow-up calls
12. Cold-calling in order to create interest in products and services, generate new business leads and arrange meetings
13. Preparing and delivering customer presentations and demonstrations of the software, articulately and confidently
14. Developing effective sales plans using sales methodology
15. Advising on software features and how they can be applied to assist in a variety of contexts, such as accounting, manufacturing or other specialist areas
