About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Making initial contact and follow-through of securing available funding along with the coordination of all optional funding opportunities
2. Researching and contacting potential donors
3. Processing incoming and preparing outgoing mail
4. Drafting, editing, and preparing grants for submission, compiling program-related reports, and submitting them in a timely manner
5. Taking initiative to build relationships with potential donors including individual community donors
6. Generating new ideas and business opportunities to increase fundraising and fund development to meet and exceed goals
7. Establishing an ongoing fundraising program to support the work
8. Researching potential donors and foundations to identify and evaluate potential funding sources
