The Human and Institutional Development Forum (HIDF) was founded in 2002 to empower the poor, marginalized, and discriminated to live a life with dignity through capacity building of individuals and institutions in the social sector. Our partners are CSOs and NGOs engaged in development projects, networks and alliances pursuing development objectives, and unions in the informal sector such as construction, garment, forestry, beedi rolling.
Our thematic engagements and expertise are in the building and strengthening responses of the marginalized and disprivileged, strengthening governance and financial systems of institutions in the development sector, facilitating empowerment across gender, accompanying partners in PME processes for sustainable impacts & develop context-specific theories of change, strengthening leadership, reviews, and evaluations of development initiatives, programmes and policies, and research, documentation and knowledge building for the social sector.
