The metals vertical of Tata International has set out to establish 34 critical work systems (CWS) which represent what we do in the order that we do it, addressing the interactions between systems and processes. Process owners and their extended teams are involved in the initiative. Over 20 of the CWS are completed and the remaining are in various stages. This initiative will help formalize and streamline the business operations, thereby establishing a framework that will help scale up the business.
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Review the critical work systems (CWS) using Tata Business Excellence Model (TBEM) as a reference and ensure all the requirements and their interactions are addressed
2. Finalize a deployment plan including mechanisms to capture and report related measures
3. Use the processes defined through the CWS to compile the TBEM application for metals vertical
