The campus ambassador s day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Conducting e-mail campaigns in your respective colleges
2. Finding innovative and effective social media strategies to help Shaastra find the required targeted audience
3. Publicizing Sampark - a pan India event conducted by Shaastra for colleges across the country and getting news articles for the same
4. Being the face of Shaastra on your campus
5. Heading your campus as the contingent head at Shaastra Grand Championship which will take place during Shaastra
6. Completing certain tasks to obtain points and compete with other CA s to be eligible for the rewards of the campus ambassador program
8. Developing campus-specific marketing and outreach programs/campaigns
Requirements:
1. Anybody with enthusiasm and dedication to work and who wants to represent IIT MADRAS's annual student-run tech-fest "SHAASTRA" on their campus can apply
1. Upskill workshops exclusive for the selected CAs
2. Develop expertise in areas like team management, event organization, public speaking, social media marketing, content writing and promotion, and various other technical skills
3. Improve your network in the number 1 ranked (NIRF) institute in India

Selection procedure
1. After registration at https://ca.shaastra.org/ and preliminary screening based on the application filled out during registration, candidates will have a scheduled telephonic interview
2. Upon selection, seminars will be conducted through the program and CAs will be tasked with spreading the word of Shaastra on their campus and will be rewarded based on a points system
Shaastra is the annual technical festival of IIT Madras. Since its inception in 2000, Shaastra has been at the core of the technical experience at IIT Madras. It also holds the honor of being the first completely student-run festival in India which was ISO certified. Shaastra conducts numerous events, lectures, competitions, and workshops. It also has Shaastra nights consisting of EDM, Envisage (completely student-run techno-entertainment show), etc. National level competitions such as Tech and Innovation fair for boosting innovation in the country are also organized. Shaastra has its own 4-day summit in which the participants attend lectures from experts and discourse and find solutions to some important problems in society. Apart from this Shaastra strives to reach a wide range of audiences through its own outreach program. We conduct Spark and Sampark for school and college students respectively. Our Campus Ambassador network across the nation helps us reach a wide range of people.
